Education is a pretty broad concept that surpasses the four walls of the classroom. There is a need for striking a balance between syllabus, curriculum, books and also co-curriculum activities beyond that. Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NGSMIPS) encourages students not only in academics but the extra-curricular activities as well. The cultural activities in the institution are organized and taken care by the student council along with the faculty in charge. Every year the student council come up with new ideas of organising cultural activities, inter-class competitions, where students from all the classes actively take part that includes dance, music, drama etc. The cultural week gives a break to students apart from studies that encourage them in taking part in various events and also help them be more creative and energetic.
