Faculty Development Program on 'Microcontrollers & Peripherals'

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte in association with DLithe Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru organized a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 'Microcontrollers and Peripherals' from 15th to 19th February 2022. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT inaugurated the event and released 'Microcontroller Trainer Kits' designed and developed by DLithe Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru. Mr. Sridhar Murthy, Mr. Arunraj Purohith and Mr. Vijay from DLithe Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru were present during the launch ceremony.

Dr. Chiplunkar in his address stressed the importance of FDP's in the current period of technological advancements. He also congratulated DLithe for their efforts in designing & developing the trainer kit which is very useful to the students.

Dr. I Ramesh Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean Academics appreciated the initiative of the Dept. of CSE in organising this FDP. Dr. Srinivas Rao B R, Vice Principal & Controller of Examinations wished the FDP every success.

DLithe is a technology company focusing on IoT, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and the latest trends, helping academics and IT companies build an agile workforce with a product development mindset. The Microcontroller Trainer Kits enable the students to develop embedded C programs in order to interface microcontrollers with various peripheral devices.  These kits also aid students to focus on Research & Development opportunities on recent trends, namely, Internet of Things and Robotics with the help of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

Mr. Sridhar Murthy and Mr. Arun Raj Purohith handed over 15 Microcontroller Trainer Kits (ARM Cortex M3 based Microcontroller) worth Rs. 1 lakh to the Dept. of CSE, NMAMIT.

Dr. Jyothi Shetty, Head, Dept. of CSE and the Convener of the FDP welcomed the gathering. Dr. Roshan Fernandes, Assoc. Professor and Coordinator of the FDP rendered the vote of thanks and also compered the program.
